While I’m primarily focused on AURORA BOREALIS right now - where Chestnut is absolutely crushing it and delivering some of the best renders of his career - YamYoda is keeping his workstation on fire as well. He’s been rendering more and more stunning images featuring Serena, and the results are looking incredible.
As you may already know, we’ve completed all the materials needed for the demo version (scheduled for release during the summer holiday season). We’re now in full content rendering mode.
Please compare images from the original game, released in 2015, to the new ones.

We've also completed the rendering process of SOUTHWESTERN SEXCAPADES. Yes! We're finally there with all visuals. Still, I'm waiting for complete texts. I'm coming back to AMERICAN SUNSET when I complete AURORA BOREALIS.
Holly cow.. the comparison… Julian and serena shower scene- excellent cant beat thr classics..
Casual outfit looks great… one image her hair doesnt seem as.. styled and she looks.. younger? Flashback?
Lwt while still a good looking game.. maybe its time for lwt3 – with the same updated visuals of serena?

I don’t get the thing with the screens from Serena’s game where the characters are looking straight in the camera. It’s ok when it’s a dialogue and characters look at you. But the scene with the girl in red stockings and the scene in a workshop where there are 3 people. Their glances look weird
Thanks for the update leo.. yeah she has a more soft look to her now- still serena…. I did not notice Julian’s hair… I did notice what seems to be his much larger dick lol I guess that scene from the first game when he is fucking her on the table holding her legs when she said his dick got bigger… she wasnt lying… lol his hair.. he seems more brown then red now

All the scenes in Serena feel awful. It’s pure AI slop. The characters constantly stare straight into the camera, their faces are way too sharp and lack any real artistic expression because of the heavy AI use. I really don’t like the direction Lesson of Passion is heading. Compare that to the scenes with Bianca — the emotions, textures, and artistic vision are on another level. You can clearly tell it’s human work, not AI. Even if they used AI there, it’s completely invisible. And the scariest part… almost nobody is talking about it. No one is expressing their dissatisfaction. Is everyone really okay with this?
Agree. The contrast is glaringly obvious and is hard to look past. Everything seems inconsistent and the AI slop markers are in every render and the modeling isnt consistent in any render. Nothing seems to have weight or depth and jsut looks flat and soulless. Even Serenas athletic appeal and tone in gone with the AI overpass and she looks generic losing the personality in the original modeling. The uncanny valley just smacks you in the face in every render and is really off putting.
While I agree she is not as toned as the original she very much still looks like serena. Serena has always had an amazing silhouette- with her hair to one side – but certain images the others games did feel inconsistent with she was turned to a different angle..
Still think it looks incredible – and keep in mind this is a different artist. I think they have done a good job re creating in their own style.. yes there is Ai.. but they are using ai the same for all their projects… in terms of the characters staring at the screen. Its a VN.. so yeah id expect a text box as its from Julian pov looking at the person..
Wouldn’t be as bad if the face didn’t change on every render. On some screenshots she doesn’t even look like Serena but as a stand-in with similar hair and that’s it, as if she’s played by multiple different actresses for no reason. To me, this is a complete joy killer. No upgrade in quality or realism is worth losing visual consistency.
Totally agree with everything you’ve said. In most of the renders Serena doesn’t look like Serena anymore and her losing her toned physique also makes her look just like any other generic AI generated brunette. Across all of the preview images that have been shown so far, this recent batch looks so different it’s jarring. After being so excited after the initial announcement for more Serena, I’m really disappointed in the direction the art is suddenly going. I get AI can be a good tool for increasing efficiency, but you’re losing the uniqueness of what made your games’ artwork so special in the previous games.
Look at the images- and the one on steam(more there) ill give you the one thats just her and some kind of garden background from the shoulders up looks odd- and the on in the bedroom she looks really young.. rest look like serena… but yes.. I would love her abs back.. but different artist.. maybe they wanted a softer look- but game is 2027 so plenty of time to tune things
Thanks for letting us know your opinion about the latest Serena renders. We’re reading all your comments and gonna implement improvements to the render consistency.
On the other hand, please bare in mind that we’ve improved some changes to the characters since the last part of the game – we decided to add a little bit of more body to Serena, to make her look more femine and natural (and represent the influence of a stress which inititated the relocation to a different town). Those changes are visible on her torso, legs and arms as well as a little bit on her face. Also we’ve changed Julian’s hair style but it’s hard to miss 🙂
I think it looks fine.. and isnt yamyoda like their og artist?.. artist like that dont put out bad works…could be just the angles as mentioned above due to her features.. I doubt they are using ai to render…. animate yes… plus most modern ai images creator’s can perfectly recreate… I was doubtful of the story but leo cleared that up… though I agree.. I miss serena toned abs. 🙂
I forgot to comment last time. I’m a little dissapointed. I thought Onyxia will be a protagonist of a new game.
Ok… so yeah I can see a few… render issues now.. serena hand in the bikini pic.. and her arm in the bathroom scene doesnt line up.
If they are using AI to help enhance images – good news i guess as they can still fix for thr full release
